1 ANDROID PROGRAMMING

The course will teach skills required to: a) produce and maintain high-quality mobile software; b) gain breadth of knowledge for developing applications with the Android SDK; and c) gain in-depth of knowledge in select areas of the Android SDK. Content to be covered in course include: Android Application Fundamentals, Android Application Framework, Android User Interface, Android Data Storage, Packaging and Publishing Android Applications, and more.

2 iPHONE PROGRAMMING

The course will teach skills for developing applications for iPhone, from opening Xcode for the first time, to submitting your application to the App Store. You'll learn Objective-C and the core frameworks needed to develop iPhone apps for different categories. The course will give you a basic framework for building your own applications independently, using multi-touch technologies. Topics to be covered include views, protocols and gestures, MVCs and segues, image/scroll/web views, table views, animation, multithreading, performance considerations and others.

Pre-requisites: C, C++, or Java

Students are encouraged to bring their own Macbooks to class

Recommended: Object-oriented programming

3 WEB DESIGN

Take your web design to the next level. The course will train specialists in designing websites using state-of-the-art technologies including Html5, CSS3, Java script, and Responsive Design. Tools learned in this course are useful in all operating systems, but are specifically critical for iOS, which does not support Flash. Thus, HTML5 plays a crucial role in development of iOS-friendly apps and websites.
