ecorobot2"Robots in everyday life” festival will be organized within the framework of 10th anniversary international exhibition Digitec Expo taking place on October 3-5.

Robotics is very popular among school children and young people in Armenia.
There are about 60 engineering groups in Armenia and Artsakh works of the students of which were highly appreciated by experts of the sphere.
Union of Information Technology Enterprises periodically organizes such competitions as line follower and object sorting robots, robots in everyday life and others within the framework of its ArmRobotics project, and the best teams-about 40 groups with 150 participants, earned a right to participate in DigiTec 2014.
Competition of ecorobots will also take place at this year's festival.
Presented robots must be constructed of household appliances and electronic equipment wastes and don’t have to perform robot’s functions.
The aim of the competition is environmental campaign and turning society's attention to recycling or the use of wastes for diverse purposes.

"Development of technologies should not lead to environmental pollution, that’s why we pay special attention to environmental issues ”,- says project manager Anna Baroyan.

Near this area a small "technocity” with thematic cafes and playgrounds will be built where kids would have an opportunity to get acquainted with achievements of their peers and share their impressions. Besides, their parents would have a chance to evaluate the opportunities provided by engineering groups, work organization formats and make decision on future professional orientation of their children.
Today’s students of HEI engineering faculties or highly-paid youth in ICT sector are mainly students of such engineering groups. "The festival is a good opportunity for young people to communicate and share their experience, develop joint projects and form teams”,- says executive director of UITE Karen Vardanyan.
