wcit2017uiteThe World Congress on Information Technologies (WCIT) is taking place on September 10-13 in Taipei, Taiwan.
WCIT, also known as the IT Industry Olympiad, is an international platform for business communications and transactions for more than 2,000 entrepreneurs, innovators, government officials, supranational organizations, investors, and prominent scientists.

The Armenian delegation participates at WCIT for the third year. The members of the delegation are Alexandr Yesayan, the President of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) – the organizer of WCIT2019, Levon Babayan, UITE Deputy Director; Anna Tovmasyan, WCIT 2019 Consultant; Arthur Avetisyan, UITE Project Manager as well as the heads of UITE member companies such as the Director of “Instigate Design” Arman Poghosyan, the Director of “Instigate” Vahagn Poghosyan, the Director of “Instigate Consulting” Anna Gevorgyan and the Director “Instigate Mobile” Artak Chopuryan.

digitecmain2017The 13th annual international DigiTec Expo technological exhibition will be held on September 29-October 1, in Yerevan Expo Center.

This year the DigiTec is unprecedented by its number of participants both local and international as well as wide geography. About 150 participants and 70k visitors are expected to attend the DigiTec.
The participants of DigiTec will introduce the last trends of the sector, the innovations and job opportunities of the current market to the society. Business meetings, different competitions, forums, seminars and other meetings will also be held.

Among the participants of DigiTec 2017 such Armenian leading companies as Joomag, Ucom, Arpinet, VOLO, Zangi, Monitis, SFL, ArmSoft and others will be introduced.

DigiTec 2017 will host participants and delegations from Japan, China, India, Sweeden, Russia, USA, Canada and other countries. Among the international participants such companies as the Dahua Technology from China, Hitachi Construction Machinery Eurasia and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries from Japan, Ericsson from Sweeden, Jabra from Denmark and others will participate. uiteiraqmeetingOn August 17, within the framework of the visit to Armenia the delegation of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Iraq met with the members of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE).

During the meeting UITE presented the Armenian IT sector developments, the programs implemented by the Union including the goals and success of the Armath Engineering Laboratory youth program.

The companies such as Ucom, IUNetworks, WEB, Niccoma, Freedom Development, Instigate Design, BetContrsuct have participated at the meeting and presented their experiences and products.

Considering the achievements of Armenian ICT sector, the Iraqi side has shown interest in collaboration in R&D, educational programs, security and e-Governance, as well as the export of Armenian IT solutions and investment opportunities.

EdgarfromSisian16 years old Edgar Poghosyan, a pupil of the Sisian High School 11th grade, has come up with an interesting initiative. He has developed an automated school ring system in the web platform. And now Edgar is waiting for his own product launch being held on 1st of September in his own school.

Edgar Poghosyan is attending the Armath Engineering Laboratory of Sisian High School. He has started to study programming in 2015 at the center for adults and later in 2016, after the opening of the Armath engineering laboratory by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises, he has moved and developed his skills there.
